It is often said that New York City is the heartbeat of the world, and now for the first time in over a decade you can sit atop this wondrous city from the new Observation deck.

New York City attracts tourists, workers, and businesses from around the world. On September 11, 2001 the unthinkable happened. The terrorist attack that took down the World Trade Center Twin Towers changed the course of history and the national security for the next decade.

But America rose again, as we always do. If you look across the current New York City Skyline you will see a tall building twisting up towards the stars in downtown Manhattan. The One World Trade Center Tower is currently at its final height of 1,776 feet.

The new observation deck will give visitors a panoramic view of the New York City skyline through three-story window. It will be located on the 100-102 floors of the tower, and will only take a one-minute to reach the deck.

Hospitality group, Legends, has close to $875 million invested in the deck set to open in 2015. The goal is to make it more than just a place tourists can see the spectacular view of New York and New Jersey. The space will hold dining options, souvenir shops, and will look to attract events to make the experience worthwhile.

“Not only will the views be spectacular, but every guest will be educated, informed, and entertained from the time they arrive at our front door until they depart the building,” said Dave Checketts, chairman and CEO of Legends.

The area is already a highly trafficked tourist location as visitors come to the recently completed fountains where the foundation of the Twin Towers once stood. Upon completion the area will be a place people both foreign and abroad can come to learn about happened and the people who lost their lives on that terrible day.

The One World Trade Center Tower, also known as the Freedom Tower, is likely to be a shining example of American endurance, ingenuity, and courage that all citizen of this great nation can be proud of.
